Plant Overview

Hydrangea Annabelle

Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle'

Hydrangea 'Annabelle' is a deciduous flowering shrub. The classic American native hydrangea — producing enormous, globe-shaped white flower heads up to 12 inches across that bloom reliably every year on new wood. Excellent for cutting both fresh and dried. Prefers organically rich, moist, well-drained soil. Most varieties perform best with morning sun and afternoon shade, though panicle types tolerate more sun. Among the most versatile and beloved shrubs for mixed borders, foundation plantings, cut flower gardens, and specimen use throughout the landscape.
