Plant Overview
Grass Misc. Dixieland
Miscanthus sinensis 'Dixieland'
Miscanthus 'Dixieland' is a large ornamental maiden grass. A compact variegated maiden grass with bold green and white striped foliage and attractive silvery plumes in fall — one of the finest variegated miscanthus selections for smaller garden spaces. Thrives in full sun to light shade in average, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back hard in late winter before new growth emerges. An outstanding specimen or backdrop plant for large borders — graceful form, showy plumes, and excellent winter presence make it indispensable.
